Run for Recovery

About the Run for Recovery

St. Clair County Community Mental Health invites you to participate in our annual Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies Run for Recovery, the second race in the Blue Water Race Series. This theme reflects our agency's focus on the interconnected nature of the mind and body, our commitment to seeing each individual as a whole person, and supporting them on their journey towards wellness.

The Blue Water Race Series is six local St. Clair County area 5K runs coming together to encourage runners and walkers to get up, get out, and enjoy the beauty of St. Clair County while supporting the community. Starting in March, with the Leprechaun Loop and ending on Thanksgiving with the Friendsgiving race, each race supports a different local non-profit. By participating in all six events in the series, walkers and runners will receive a commemorative jacket.

At St. Clair County Community Mental Health, we believe all people have the capacity to discover, recover, change, grow and develop. All proceeds from the Run for Recovery are donated to various St. Clair County organizations and St. Clair County Community Mental Health funds.

Changes due to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, our plans for hosting in-person events have shifted significantly. It is our intention to host our Run for Recovery in person, while complying with all state of Michigan guidelines, including capping in-person participation at 200 participants and staggering start times. The race can also be completed virtually, simply select which option you choose during registration. These plans are subject to change as we will continue to follow guidelines of state and local officials. As the event nears, we will be on contact with all registered participants with additional information, including procedure for packet pick-up, and race day procedures. We appreciate your flexibility and on-going commitment to our cause!
