St. Clair County Community Mental Health Authority provides public mental health services and supports to adults with mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders with a focus on integrated health care and recovery.

In order to best fulfill the needs of persons served, staff are trained in many different evidence-based and promising practices. Individuals are offered customized treatment opportunities focused on their specific recovery needs.

Behavioral Health is Essential to Health
St. Clair County CMH recognizes that behavioral health is an integral component of overall good health. We support empowering individuals to get the support they desire to promote Healthy Minds & Healthy Bodies. This is because behavioral health and physical health are interdependent and must work together to promote recovery. St. Clair CMH identifies a strong link between person-centered planning principals and a person's overall health. CMH practitioners serve as part of a comprehensive and integrated team empowering the person served to exercise self-determination toward holistic health and recovery.
