Credentialing

The Thumb Alliance PIHP maintains a standing Credentialing Committee to ensure that organizations and practitioners are competent and qualified to provide mental health and substance use disorder services in the three-county region.

The committee reviews the credentials of organizations and practitioners biennially. The committee grants qualified organizations and practitioners the privilege of using their credentials to provide services in the Thumb Alliance region. The committee is chaired by the PIHP's medical director and consists of representatives of each of the three CMHs, the Coordinating Agency for Substance Use Disorders, and a clinical representative of the PIHP.
