Residential Services: Children's Home
Located in Marysville, the eight bed SCC Children's Home is licensed to care for children and adolescents 6-18 years old. The individuals in this program are in emotional crisis and at significant risk for negative consequences to themselves and/or their family members.
The program is designed to be a short term (less than 30 days) transition to less restrictive services. Master's Level Clinicians, under the direction of CMH Medical Director Dr. John Baugh , provide intensive individual, family and group treatment. Occupational therapy and nursing service also are available, along with evaluation and contact with a Child Psychiatrist on a weekly basis.
Payment for room and board is often a concern for families because Medicaid does not pay for the $736.50 per month cost (2007 rates) to the group home provider.
