Fitness Tips from the Experts

 

  • TV Workouts -- When the commercials come on, work out! Doing simple exercises like squats, pushups, jumping jacks, and dips are great ways to burn calories and get stronger. The average commercial break during a 1-hour show is 22 minutes; if you dedicate every minute of the commercial breaks to exercising, you can burn 100 calories!
  • Bored with your workout routine? Not seeing the results you want? Try adding some varitey! -- Change the intensity of your aerobic workouts by walking uphill or doing interval training.  Better yet, learn new strength training exercises to replace your current routine. Remember, once your body learns to do something easily and well, it is time to challenge it and change it up!
