St. Clair County CMH, through the Thumb Alliance PIHP, offers a Customer Service Department to answer your questions about the public system for treating mental health and substance use disorders.

Crisis help is available by calling these numbers 24-hours a day.
The Customer Service Department includes the Access Center, where you and other residents can request mental health and substance use disorder services.
Customer Service and the Access Center are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for telephone screenings and to provide information about the public mental health and substance use disorder system.
Customer Service
Customer Service technicians can provide you with information that you have a right to receive. Customer Service can:
- Assist you with the grievance and appeal process and the local dispute resolution process.
- Put you in touch with your Recipient Rights officer or a Fair Hearing officer.
- Provide you with a list of all Thumb Alliance PIHP service providers - organizations and individual practitioners - and tell you the services they offer, languages they speak and their specialties.
- Provide you with annual reports, board of directorships, board meeting schedules, and board meeting minutes for the Thumb Alliance PIHP: Lapeer County CMH, Sanilac County CMH, or St. Clair County CMH.
- Provide you with the Thumb Alliance PIHP's organizational chart.
- Answer your questions about mental health and substance use disorders, qualifying for services - and much more.
