The Intervention Center (St. Clair County Jail) provides assistance to adults with serious mental illness and/or developmental disabilities in alleviating and reducing severe symptoms. Through the program, individuals are supported in their efforts to continue to lead a fulfilling and enriched life of their choosing in addition to addressing their correctional challenges. Services are designed to provide mental health diversion, treatment, crisis intervention and homeless supports.
Through the Person Centered Planning process, treatment programs are tailored to meet the needs of the individual’s hopes, desires and dreams. Individuals are encouraged to achieve self-sufficiency, exercise choice and self determination and become integral members of their community.
