APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL AND RECOMMITMENT

St. Clair County Community Mental Health, as the Thumb Alliance Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP), is required to submit an Application for Renewal and Recommitment (ARR) to the Michigan Department of Community Mental Health in order to demonstrate our commitment to continuous quality improvement as the regional Medicaid behavioral healthcare specialty benefits manager of care. The process for developing the ARR included partnering with the county level Community Mental Health Service Programs (CMHSPs), as well as the Substance Abuse Services Coordinating Agency (CA) office in completing environmental scans of the system from each perspective, with recommendations for quality improvement goals emanating from that process. Throughout the ARR development and review phases, the Thumb Alliance PIHP has engaged individuals who receive services, their family members and advocates, regional service providers, as well as other concerned community stakeholders as meaningful partners in the process. On May 7, 2009, the Thumb Alliance PIHP held a regional stakeholders’ meeting tor review the draft ARR prior to seeking Board approval for submission. The resulting final draft of the ARR, as well as the comments and feedback from the regional stakeholders’ meeting are now available via the links below.
